Inspecting Your New Car
Delivery Checklists
We’ve provided you with five checklists on what to look for:
New Car Checklist
An overview of everything to check when you're buying a new car.
Exterior Checklist
What to look out for on the outside of your new car. Paint bubbles, dents &
dings, misaligned doors, loose trim, windshield leaks, etc.
Interior Checklist
Remember to check on the ceiling covering, window operation, door locks, child
lock, cup holders, console, seats, stitching, radio, speakers, turn signals, and
more.
Mechanical Checklist
Be sure to check under the hood for leaks, loose hoses, correct fluid levels,
etc. Verify all mechanical functions on the lot before they become your problem.
Test Drive Checklist
Always take your new car for a test drive BEFORE you sign the paperwork. Our
checklist spells out what to look for including transmission check, alignment,
power steering, tire pressure, engine noise, and more.
Complete all four of these checklists and have any problems repaired before you
sign the paperwork.
Note: These checklists are in the Adobe PDF format, so right click on the link and choose "Save As" from the popup menu.

Using these checklists
When using these checklists to note any possible problems -
If there are any delays or problems that need attention and can't be corrected
before you leave, get everything documented in writing and
signed by a dealership official.
If it’s not in writing from a management-level person at the dealership, it doesn’t mean a thing
when you return to have the problem corrected.
